Being a leftist in Alberta is a difficult ordeal. The UCP have sabotaged our domestic private renewables energy industry, crushed the province in deficits, and their fomenting of separatism has driven made the province radioactive to future private investment. To say nothing of how our public services are universally in the crosshairs of rent seekers at best and religious extremists at worst.

Could a federally financed crown corporation generate enough money to cover the Alberta deficit, or preferably generate a surplus within four years, and would a Consumer-Coop entrench it deep enough to resist being uprooted by cronyist sabotage, and would a land value tax and debt break create resilience in the public service sector?

Could a publicly owned renewables Consumer-Coop (Solar/Wind/Nuclear) generate enough surplus profit to be a net contributor to state finances within four years?
