Hey all, I had a record from when I was a minor that had a very unsavory accusation attached to it. The case got dismissed and automatically sealed and I am hoping for it to be expunged. I wanted to know if insurance companies would be able to see the record because I wanted to become an actuary but because of this I am unsure. The accusation wasn’t anything finance related but it was bad enough to where I am unsure if the companies would hire me even though I wasn’t convicted and the case got dismissed.

For clarification the case was civil and not criminal and I have no criminal record such as charges or anything like that but in the civil case it was a civil protection order where the person accused me of the unsavory accusations.

Can insurance companies see expunged records

    1. If it got dismissed, I would not worry about it. I know that in claims we do have to fill something out every year regarding any past convictions and things, but if you were only accused of something but never convicted, I do not see an issue. Especially since it was civil
