We were buying kerosene at the hardware type stores 2.5 gallon jugs for when hubby has to fix cars or anything in winter. Before inflation it was 17.99 now it's up 3 dollars and never on sale. A family member noticed a kerosene pump at a gas station he was at and told us. You bring you own jug and it's less than half the price. We had never heard of that before. That will save over the winter months.

Did you know you can get kerosene per pump from some gas stations.

    1. You can also use diesel fuel in place of kerosene in many cases. Heating companies will deliver kerosene to your house if you are getting 100-200 gallons for cheaper than you can get it at the gas station. Gasoline too.

    2. I thought it was normal. I’ve bough K1 from local stations since the 80’s. Just bought some last week.

    3. It’s definitely not common but I do know where my local kerosene pumps are. I use it a lot as parts cleaner as well. Officially speaking remember blur cans are for kerosene, in the US at least.

Where do you live? I have never seen this or at least never noticed it on the west coast.

    5. Meanwhile I don’t know you could buy it at th hardware store, only ever got it at gas stations.

I didn’t even know that people used kerosene on a regular basis. Where do you live?
