Hi everyone!
Not sure if this is the right subreddit for it but I'm hoping you can help.
I've been unemployed for around a month and am not receiving any financial aid from the state where I live due to ineligibility. I have savings so I'm not very stressed at the moment but one thing I'm trying to navigate is the food budget I have with my partner.
We don't limit ourselves with what we buy at the supermarket, we love food and eating so that is a hard line I draw. We also buy our groceries at budget supermarkets like Lidl and Aldi. The thing is my partner eats a lot more than I, I'd say he probably eats on average a little less than double what I eat since he works out a lot, sometimes even double.
He agrees that since I'm not secure financially right now, he can pay more of the food budget but I want your advice on how to go about this practically from those who have experience? Should he just pay a food shop every now and again and not put it on Tricount or should we do something more calculated?
How to divide food budget when partner eats so much more?
