Basically all of the stuff I've used to make my kitchen look nice is secondhand discarded crapbfrom Goodwill or straight up trash. For instance, along the top of my cabinets, I have some old milk bottles, a steel can of Lipton from the 50, a framed menu from a fancy steakhouse from the 60s, warped cast iron skillets, and even some old West German steins. With all that being said, it all looks and feels like "home" to me and I love it.
I just realized that the vast majority of my kitchen decor is trash.

I just washed and put up on my dresser a Borwicks Baking Powder tin, because I loved the original 1800’s design it still has.
I have some sealed boxes of 1960’s cocktail forks, an ACME tart baking tray, some bottles we dug up, all sorts of fun stuff!
All stuff is trash
It’s only value is what we give it
Sounds like recycling, not trash. 🙂 Old tins and bottles and cans and that kind of thing make for great containers, why not give them new life?
Recycled not trash
