I am recovering from a butt surgery for a few weeks now, that is preventing me from sitting down. I figured I'd try to get a standing desk so I could at least game on my PC while I'm stuck at home recovering, but unfortunately tall enough desks for someone that is about two meters tall are VERY expensive.

Luckily, my family's backyard contained a stack of unused B1 bricks, so after cleaning the bricks of spider nests and creepvines, and applying some industrial glue, I upgraded my corner desk into a standing one! My friend even had the glue we needed already so this project cost a whopping zero dollars!

    1. If you do a bit of /r/DeskCableManagement and spray paint the bricks black this would look pretty good.

    2. Damn this is a great idea. I’ve been trying to find a solution for that as well!

I’d put a little eva foam mat around the bottom of those because stubbing your toe on a brick would suck.

    4. Brillant. Especially for a temporary setup.

You might be able to slide that second brick towards the window, this would make a wider stand for the tower, giving you more leg room.

Is this for working from home? In order to not get the negative effects of sitting 8 hours?
