We have a very well constructed sofa. The frame is oak and very sound. It's also 27 years old so even the very sturdy fabric is sad looking now. We looked into getting reupholstered and it's about $3500. We CAN get a new couch for about the same but it won't be of the same quality. We're in our early 60s so I can't imagine we'll have to do this again, no matter how hard the animals or grandkids are on it. I thought I'd be for getting a new one but just can't justify paying the same amount it even more for an inferior product. Has anyone made this decision? Why or why weren't you happy with it? I'm looking for all feedback, even if it doesn't match what I want. 🤪
Couch…go new or get it reupholstered?
