Been jumping between apps for the past year trying to find something that doesn't feel like it's actively trying to get me liquidated. Here's what I actually think after using a bunch of them.
Started on Binance like most people. The app is solid – tons of pairs, fast execution, decent UI once you learn where everything is. But the leverage options are wild. 125x available with zero friction. Lost a chunk of my stack early on because of that. Felt like the platform was set up to extract money from beginners rather than help them trade.
Tried Kraken after. Much better for spot, solid security reputation. App feels clunky compared to Binance but you get used to it. Main issue was the leverage product wasn't what I needed.
Eventually landed on YouHodler for leverage trading specifically – max 20x, stop-loss is mandatory before you can open a position, and you literally can't lose more than you put in. Swiss regulated which matters to me post-FTX. App is clean, nothing overwhelming.
Still use Kraken for spot DCA. Different tools for different things.
What are you guys running right now? Anyone found something better for leverage that isn't actively trying to rekt you?
What's actually the best crypto trading app in 2025? Tested a few, here's my take
