Thanks to everyone who contributes to this thread. I recently had a total loss event and needed as much advice as possible about how to navigate getting more money than the insurance company was offering, if that was even possible.
I read a lot of posts and they helped me tremendously in submitting comps and how to approach my adjuster after an initial offer seemed far too low.
Original offer (for a 2020 Hyundai Sonata Limited Hybrid):
Actual Cash Value = $16,056.90
Taxes = $1,003.56
Fees = $110.00
Deductible = ($2,500.00)
Settlement Total = $14,670.46
After comp submissions:
Actual Cash Value = $18,461.45
Taxes = $1,153.84
Fees = $110.00
Deductible = ($2,500.00)
Settlement Total = $17,225.29
Her response:
Thanks again!
