disappointed to find out after purchases that "other travel" doesn't in fact include all travel categories as I assumed:

"Other Travel: 3 rewards points (1 base plus 2 bonus points) are earned per $1 spent on net purchases made at retailers whose merchant category code is classified as: timeshare, or vehicle/auto rental, cruise lines, travel agencies, discount travel sites, campgrounds"

in contrast to that, CSP's 2x other travel category is simply anything travel, and includes Amtrak, Flixbus, and parking

WF Autograph Journey's "3X other travel" doesn't include Amtrak, Flixbus, or parking

    1. Wells Fargo I’m pretty sure counts those as transit so the autograph no annual fee would code them differently

    2. Yeah it’s a weird oversight since the No AF Autograph does include them as the 3x. Or WF did it on purpose so people would get and use both.

Yeah it’s just a hotel/airfare card with good multipliers and travel protections

      Other options:

Autograph, Elan Mcp ground transportation (limited), BofA ccr travel or online shopping, SYW 5321, amex bcp, USB altitude connect (no tolls), citi custom cash

Correct. The Autograph Journey earns on a smaller subcategory of travel, but has high multipliers for hotels and airfare. The no annual fee Autograph has the broad 3X on travel and transit.

I like the Journey in theory, but the no AF card is so versatile it really overshadows the big brother.
