Our dog got a hold of a piece of corn cob from the trash and ate it, and since dogs can’t digest corn, we had to take her to the ER. They said they believe they’ll be able to get it out with an endoscopy, which they’re working on now. But the bill will be several thousand, so we plan to file a claim through our pet insurance with Lemonade.
My understanding is Lemonade is reimbursement based, so I would pay the full bill and just keep receipts for when I file my claim. I’m just wondering, since I’ve heard lots of stories of denied claims with pet insurance, is there anything unusual I should expect? Like are they going to want video evidence of her eating the corn or something? Cause I don’t have that haha.
Lemonade pet insurance – anything unusual to expect when filing a claim?
