I'm deep into Robinhood, so the RH gold card was a no-brainer for me. The 3% CB is the gold standard, and I love it. What other cards should I pair with it?

I already had an AMEX Blue CB card before this card.

Maybe AMEX Gold, Venture X, AMEX Plat, or Chase.

I'm not very knowledgeable on points because I have always been a CB guy, but I wanted some advice/direction because I like the benefits those cards provide.

But yeah, what cards should I pair with robhinhood gold?

Have seen Robinhood Gold + AmEx Gold paired to great success. Robinhood Gold + Charles Schwab Platinum is also a fantastic combo if you use the Plat as a coupon/lounge/travel booking card. For cashback, the Chase Prime is a no brainer and the AmEx Blue Cash Preferred can make sense for twice the cashback the RH Gold gets on groceries and streaming.

The most ludicrous setup I remember seeing was something like a Robinhood Gold, AmEx Gold, AmEx Business Gold, and Revolut Gold debit card. As goofy a wallet as that it, it seems like it would have surprisingly solid synergy

    2. It depends on what you’re looking for, are you trying to do more travel? Or do you pay for a lot on groceries and dining?

    3. Since getting RHG, I don’t find it worthwhile to carry many 5% cards for a measly 2% more cash back on a capped amount, usually around $500/month.

A few cards which may be worth it:
      – US Bank Cash+ for 5% utilities and internet/streaming
      – A 2% catchall that covers the categories that RHG can’t (like taxes)
      – AAA Daily Advantage for 5% on groceries up to $10k/year
      – A card for primary CDW coverage like CSP or an Amex card with the $25/rental coverage
      – Amazon Prime card if you shop at Amazon, OnePay if you shop at Walmart, or Redcard if you shop at Target, since they all sit in their respective store wallets

    4. You have a great starting point. I would add (like I have) one Citi custom Cash for restaurants 5% and one for gas 5%. I also use PayPal debit for Costco 5% and along with AMEX Blue Cash preferred and RH gold, this is my day to day set-up!

I’m doing RH Gold + Amex Blue Cash Preferred + Chase Freedom Flex (for dining + other rotating categories) + Costco Visa for gas only

Depends on your spend. Amex Gold is great for the 4% groceries and dining but there are better options out there if you’re not spending a lot or can’t use the credits organically. You’d be better off getting 2x CCC or CCC + BCP for those categories in that case. My current setup for the main categories:

      – Groceries: BCP 6%
      – Dining: Savor 3%
      – Gas: CCC 5%
      – Travel: Platinum 5X
      – Catch All: CDC 2%

Once I’m done with the SUB, I plan on killing the Platinum next year and going with a VX (and PC my CDC to a second CCC) unless I’ve found that I’m organically using all the credits to make the AF worth it.

    7. I have it paired with 4 Citi custom cash cards and Amazon prime CC so all my purchases are 3-5%

I would pair it with the VX. RH for everyday spend. VX for the times I want to buy gift cards, get purchase protection and travel protection, as well as lounge access.
