I received the golden email on Feb 12, Discharge happened March 13. Made copies of summaries and histories on FSA and Mohela websites. Can anyone tell me whether I will receive an official letter from Mohela or FSA for that matter, that will outline official count? I thought I read somewhere on here that this happens but can’t find it.
Also, how long does refunds for overpayment take?

I got what I think is an official letter from Aidvantage abut 2 days after the balance was wiped out. As for the refund I’m curious about that as well. I’m saving it for the state tax bomb I’ll have.
I got the Golden email back in the Biden administration. It took about 2 years (I think) for the debt to be removed from my credit report and the $15,000 refund check. One day I looked at my bank account and there it was, a direct deposit from the Department of Education!
