Most business' waste months trying to get 10,000 people to see a post, but they can't get 10 people to actually reply. In 2026, the algorithm rewards engagement over impressions, so a boring "viral" post is actually a liability.

Stop optimizing for reach and start optimizing for "depth."

    1. yeah i think a post that gets 50 real comments from the right people is worth way more than one that gets shoved past 20k eyeballs and disappears, because replies, saves, and actual conversation usually mean someone cared enough to stop scrolling.

      reach is cheap.

yeah this is why I stopped posting generic motivation quotes on my HVAC business page and started sharing actual job stories instead – way better responses from like 50 people than thousands of scroll-bys

    3. Know your audience. I got 500k views and my first customer over a nonsense post. I expect to double those numbers next week.

    4. This hit different. We spent weeks trying to figure out why our posts were getting views but no replies. Turns out we were writing for impressions safe, broad, inoffensive. Nobody disagreed, nobody related, nobody replied. The moment we started writing about a specific frustration, something embarrassingly real, the replies came immediately. Depth over reach is real. Ten people who genuinely connect with what you said are worth more than ten thousand who scrolled past.

      Still learning this, honestly.
