I’m a UK home student looking into the new Six-Year MD Pathway (2-year accelerated BSc at Wolverhampton followed by the 4-year MD with AUC) and I’m trying to understand how students would realistically plan to fund the MD portion. Since the MD phase doesn’t appear to be eligible for UK Student Finance or NHS funding, what financing options would UK students likely rely on in practice? Are private loans essentially the main route, and if so, which lenders or strategies do people recommend for international medical degrees delivered in the UK? As the pathway is new, I’d really appreciate insights from anyone familiar with Caribbean MD funding or similar programmes. The MD portion of the programme is delivered at their Preston campus, UK so I'm not actually travelling abroad for the MD.
How can a UK Home applicant ,like myself, fund the 4-Year MD portion of the six-year MD Pathway (2-year accelerated BSc at Wolverhampton ➜ 4-year MD hosted by AUC ) ?
