    Trump says US and Iran have held talks on ending war in Middle East as he postpones power plant strikes


    Per the BBC:

    Trump says talks held on 'complete and total resolution of hostilities' with Iran

    Donald Trump says there have been "productive conversations" about a "complete and total resolution" to the conflict in the Middle East.

    He says he will "postpone any and all strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure" for a five day period.

    In a post on TruthSocial all in capital letters, reproduced here in full and verbatim, he says: "I AM PLEASE TO REPORT THAT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND THE COUNTRY OF IRAN, HAVE HAD, OVER THE LAST TWO DAYS, VERY GOOD AND PRODUCTIVE CONVERSATIONS REGARDING A COMPLETE AND TOTAL RESOLUTION OF OUR HOSTILITIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST.

    "BASED ON THE TENOR AND TONE OF THESE IN DEPTH, DETAILED, AND CONSTRUCTIVE CONVERSATIONS, WITCH WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE WEEK, I HAVE INSTRUCTED THE DEPARTMENT OF WAR TO POSTPONE ANY AND ALL MILITARY STRIKES AGAINST IRANIAN POWER PLANTS AND ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE FOR A FIVE DAY PERIOD, SUBJECT TO THE SUCCESS OF THE ONGOING MEETINGS AND DISCUSSIONS.       Oil dropping based on this news is still insane. The supply shock is still there, the facilities that process and store this stuff are destroyed.

      Lies to pump the market. Just a couple days ago he was complaining there was no one to negotiate with. “Productive conversations” has been their go-to response for like a year and a half in Russia-Ukraine negotiations, likely he hasn’t even talked to Iran at all, much less found any common ground.

      Market probably gonna be weird as hell this week with all this uncertainty floating around. Oil futures must be having an aneurysm right about now

      Market manipulation to possibly get a less awful CPI in April. Doesn’t matter if it’s true or not. Oil took an immediate 10% drop. It may take a few days for it to go back up once everyone realizes what a total lie it all was. Also he only does big strikes on the weekend, he was never going to bomb Iran even more on a weekday. It would also get in the way of a bunch of tee times he had lined up.

      How the market keeps believing anything from his mouth I’ll never know but they keep falling for it. They might be bigger regards than all of us.
