Everyone knew it was a lie. The news is that the aggressor now either wants it to end or is using this to buy time until he escalates further. The market is up on hopes that he now wants this to end. If everyone believed him we’d be up 4+% with brent at $85/b.

Don’t believe tweets from either side. They’re both manipulating their markets and their fan base, and both are doing things behind the scenes that we’re not aware of.
If he lose midterms in senate he can get impeached and put in prison. I wouldn’t be surprised if he actually stops the war in 5 days even if what Iran is saying here is true.
