22 yrs old, fico score is 731, only one cc open (wells fargo active cash) want to start stacking points for flights. I go out to restaurants and buy groceries a fair amount, don’t have a car so no gas. what should my next line of credit be? debating on opening directly through an airline or just going for the gold amex. any thoughts/advice?

Depends what airline hubs are near you and how much you’re spending / making. I got the CSR right out of college and was very happy with it although it was before the refresh.
