So I recently had a total loss incident in Dec. I’m now in the market to get a new vehicle and have been shopping for car insurance. I have been receiving online quotes for minimal coverage and have gotten anywhere between $200-$300 a month.
I called a local State Farm agent and gave her all my information, history, etc and she quoted me $115 a month with recommended coverage (100000/300000, $500 deductible). She even ran the soft pull on my information and is confident it takes into account my driving history and that the quote is accurate.
I’m really struggling to understand how it could be so much less which more coverage. Has anyone else had this experience before?
Edit: she mentioned she was able to input that I had insurance through geico for 16 years and said they may be some of the driving factor. Other sites only asked if I was insured in the past 30 days.
