Ive been debating my travel card strategy, with lounges and travel protections being important as I aim to travel more both domestically and internationally across the next couple years. I plan to keep either my Gold or get a CSP along with my VX for food spend and catch-all on a long-term basis.

Currently considering opening a CSR just for the 125k bonus, although I don’t live near an airport with a Sapphire lounge at the moment. I do think I could get value from the credits, atleast in year 1. Is there any reason to get this one sooner rather than later? I think I might be rushing to get the 125k, and it could be best to run through my 240k Amex points first. Also worth noting I have gotten the CSP SUB in the past.

Also considered upgrading my Gold to a Plat (I’ve already gotten SUBs for regular and CS in the past) and just putting all spend on my VX for simplicity. The Plat would have a material value add because of their lounge network having so many more locations than Chase and Cap1.

Between those options, any thoughts on the best way to go forward? Thanks in advance
