Been watching Richtech Robotics for many months now. Artificially low and extremely oversold due to a short and distort campaign. $330M cash, no debt, $475M market cap. Surreal. The stock is 35% short (mainly by a single small hedge fund) and I think they’re short is about to get blown up and this is about to go back to $4-$5/share. If you look at the historical price action the stock went up like crazy several times in the last 12 months immediately following a massive short term weekly call options purchase, probably by insiders. The founder is the largest shareholder (huge skin in the game)
Someone bought 12000 $RR $2.5 calls expiring in 8 days today.

Lol no.
In the past every time there was a huge random weekly call buying event like this there was a short squeeze within a week or two after. This happened like 3-4 times in the last 9-12 months
I’ve been shorting this stock for a while now. I do think it is at a point where my short is hardly worth the time (been lowering my stop loss until it gets bought), but that doesn’t mean the stock it’s a good long.
What you don’t mention here:
* They make essentially 0 revenue and have done so for the last 5 years. If anything their revenue seems to be declining
* It’s a glorified reseller of Chinese robotics. They sell tchotchke that nobody wants or needs.
* They have resorted to very dodgy tactics: trying to tie themselves to high caliber companies for visibility.

Microsoft stated:
“Through a close, hands-on collaboration between Richtech’s engineering team and the Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Labs, the two companies jointly developed new adaptive intelligence.”
That is Microsoft’s wording, hosted on Microsoft.com.
Timeline:
• Collaboration disclosed in SEC filings
• Microsoft publishes validation
• Capital raise occurs afterward
The chronology is verifiable.
Someone sold 12000 calls, looking for income
And high volumes (around 3k contracts) in the 3 strike for the Apr and May expiries, too.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Barely any daily volume and the EMA isn’t looking so good either… short interest isn’t a reliable indicator since 2021. I’ll wait till it drops to $1
Couldn’t someone of sold covered calls? Which would be bearish?
