On March 25, China's State Administration for Market Regulation issued a notice announcing an antitrust investigation into food delivery platforms. The regulator stated that the three major food delivery platforms in China had overall 100 billion yuan in subsidies, attempting to engage in vicious competition through ultra-low prices, which has lowered China's CPI and runs counter to the central government's policy of boosting consumption.
