I’m a new divorcee that’s don’t have any parents to ask for advice on stuff like this. I don’t have many close friends either. I’m gathering quote from various insurance companies for car insurance for myself and my 18-yr old who will be going away to college soon. I’m clueless.
I have two of the lowest quotes from Allstate and American Family Insurance with very similar coverage. Does anyone have any strong advice about either company? I was with progressive when I was married but their quote was nearly double these.

Just go with the lowest quote with the same coverage that you have before with Progressive.
American Family often write quotes for Costco, and Allstate is nationally well-known.
Pick the cheapest with the best coverage. You should carry at least 100/300 in liability.
