tldr: elan is still lax on approvals but got the infamous 500 CL, which I expected, but it's fine for a capped category card. Also got a 2nd CCR, but admittedly BofA has denied me a couple times even when I fell below 7/12 to meet their 7 accounts/12 months rule
x/24 status: 11/24
x/12 status: 4/12
Other USB Cards: Cash+ (10k), Ralph (1k CL, hasnt been increased after a year), Harris Teeter (1k CL, hasnt been increased after a year)
Other Elan Max Cards: N/A
Other BofA cards: Another CCR (17k), UCR (17k)
Approvals: Elan Max 1 ($500 CL), Elan Max 2 ($500 CL) Simultaneous app, had to wait 3 days for approval, BofA CCR (14k)
BofA CCR affiliate cards had rejected me a couple times the past year even when I had fallen below their 7/12 rule and had PH
Purpose of Elans: More 5% categories, but also allows me to backdoor into an Altitude Connect with a Product Change on the Cash+, but they'd need to increase my CL on the Elans first which I doubt would happen automatically
Purpose of CCR: 8.25 online shopping for the next 12 months. I have a BofA PR anniversary date of December unfortunately, so I've got less than a year left to take advantage of CCR at 5.25. Once the nerfs were announced, I didn't really care about getting another CCR for a future 4.5% cashback, but my usage would be as a flex of sorts. One would always be online shopping, but the other (or both really) could flex to Home Improvement to pay for a high contractor bill, and I know in November they do the BofA day which is an extra 2% on anything, including property taxes, up to 2500 spend so I can dump more on that then since 2 bofa cards wasn't enough
[DP] High Velocity Elan MCPx2 approval at 500 CL and BofA CCR

so you’re out here collecting $500 elan cards like they’re pokemon to eventually maybe upgrade one of them never. the altitude connect backdoor play is chef’s kiss energy though, respect the long con.
Side note: I also did apply and get accepted for the SYW 5321 3 weeks ago too, but that’s card weird. You have to pester them to even mail you a physical card, and they still haven’t done it. And people here are saying it doesn’t even report as a new account. One other poster said their autopay randomly didn’t work. Don’t know if I’ll even use this card all things considered.
