My husband and I are trying to buy a home in FL with a VA loan. We’re both living and working in VA right now. I have a job lined up in FL, but he does not. He’s the only one who will be on the mortgage, cause I have bad credit and other stuff that will hurt us if I’m on the mortgage. Now he doesn’t have a transfer letter or anything yet. One lender said we can’t get approved because he won’t be working in FL. But we’re still moving to FL, he’s just having to wait for a transfer letter. We want to close ASAP since I need to start my job in FL soon.
If you’re a VA LO, what’s your suggestion?

Are you or him going to occupy the house within 60 days of closing? Then you’re good.
