I have a trip to Guadalajara Mexico in April and we wanted to rent a car. If I book through the chase travel portal, using 10k points, the car rental for 7 days is $143. If I book through Capital One portal the fee for 7 days is $85. Both have pick ups and drop offs at the airport, Midsize SUV.

I don't know which one to choose. I would go with the cheaper option but I would like to know which card has the best insurance in case something were to happen. Also Capital One is renting through nu car rentals while Chase is National Car Rental. Capital One also says the rental is non-refundable.

National is arguably the best major car rental company for consistency, quality of vehicles, and customer service. For the same price, I’d pick National in a heartbeat over Nuu.
