I believe temporary piracy through this means is not theft, nor is borrowing a movie or tv show DVD from your local library. In another sense, stealing means taking something without paying the current owner to transfer ownership to yourself. Netflix don’t sell you anything that you can ever keep, the media is never yours whether you pay them for it or not, so it’s not stealing for that reason too.
