Petrol and Diesel Excise Duty Cut: Rates Reduced by ₹10 Per Liter—Major Relief for Consumers

The Central Government has taken a major decision by reducing the excise duty on petrol and diesel. This decision has been taken to ensure that the burden of rising crude oil prices does not fall directly upon consumers.
In accordance with this decision, the excise duty on petrol and diesel has been reduced by ₹10 per liter each. Consequently, it is anticipated that fuel prices are likely to decrease in the near future.
