Autopay scheduled but no outstanding balance

I enrolled in auto-payment towards my current loans through nelnet. The autopay is scheduled for the 28th, however, the outstanding amount for my loan was small enough that I decided to pay the remaining balance outright. I submitted the payment for the entire outstanding balance, but it hasn't appeared just yet on my nelnet page. Since it hasn't appeared, the autopay is still scheduled for the 28th. I'm assuming nelnet is aware this may happen. Can anyone confirm if the auto-payment amount is greater than the outstanding balance, that the autopay amount won't be charged?

I've read on some forums that as long as the payment was made before 4pm est that it will be reflected in your balance before EOD. Any ideas? Thanks!
