Stock Selloff Eases as Trump Gives Iran More Time | Daybreak Europe 3/27/2026

Bloomberg Daybreak Europe is your essential morning viewing to stay ahead. Live from London, we set the agenda for your day, catching you up with overnight markets news from the US and Asia. And we’ll tell you what matters for investors in Europe, giving you insight before trading begins.

On today’s show, the biggest monthly selloff in stocks since 2022 eased after the US President extended the deadline, for a second time, for Iran to strike a deal. Donald Trump says Tehran has an extra 10 days before the US attacks its energy sites. This as the Wall Street Journal reports that the Pentagon is considering deploying as many as 10,000 extra troops to the Middle East.

Fed officials are voicing growing concerns about the impact of the war on the US economy. They include Fed Governor Lisa Cook who says the spike in oil prices has shifted the balance of risks, with inflation now a bigger concern than employment.

Plus Pernod Ricard and Brown-Forman, the owner of Jack Daniel’s whiskey, have confirmed they’re in merger talks. The alcoholic drink companies have been looking at ways to consolidate amid an industry downturn.

    1. What's this inane verbiage about "giving Iran more time"? It's pure manipulation of financial markets by Trump pretending there will be peace negotiations in the near future. Bloomberg editors lack class.

    2. How do you think—could it be possible that there exists some kind of global electromagnetic-acoustic background that influences the formation of collective human behavior, gradually shaping similar behavioral patterns over time?
‎If so, then could artificial intelligence, as a system of signals and patterns, at a certain level of complexity and data accumulation, begin to synchronize with this background and, as a result, develop unexpected emergent abilities?
‎In other words, might the “emergent abilities” of AI arise not only from the accumulation of internal patterns, but also from interaction or synchronization with an external informational or energetic field?

    3. Trump is incompetent 8 ship gift paid in Yuan. These ships passing through the strait was organized by China and Iran. It had nothing to do with Trump.
