Got denied for a Capital One Venture card for having too many credit cards. “There are too many active credit cards based on your loan history”
Literally no idea how I’m supposed to get a Venture card. Am I permanently screwed because I didn’t get one earlier?

How many cards do you have open? Any you’re willing to close?
Got that myself this week.
I have 8 cards open and I might go down to 6. They’re redundancies anyways!

I mean, they told you the exact, actionable problem: “There are too many active credit cards based on your loan history.” What exactly is the question here?
