When our country had a spine to stand with on Israel
0:47 One thing i like about the un is how random the countries peacekeepers come from are
Oh no theres trouble in egypt
Here come denmark and colombia to the rescue
Crazy how this crisis directly affected the Hungarian revolution of 1956. Any border changes there?
Theres a website that shows this war like liveuamap, its called project: world at war, you can google it
The one time the US and USSR saw eye to eye post WW2
Victory to Israel 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱
I like how you choose to post this now lol😂
American AND Soviet pressure, both superpowers were outrages by the British & French invasion
A rare moment when the US & USSR sent UN peacekeepers to the same place. To then watch UK, France, and Israel withdraw.
I love your channel so much ^_^
When the UN was useful in geopolitics
When both the US and USSR are pissed at you, you’ve screwed up BIG time.
When it was made clear that the Sun was indeed setting on the French and British empires.
In case anyone was wondering, France and Britain’s “ultimatum” demanded that Egypt and Israel withdraw their troops a certain distance from the Suez Canal… the only problem being that the IDF hadn’t yet actually reached the canal when it was released.
The first and last time the us didn't kiss Israels ass
day 38: make world war 1 on all fronts, please!!! (ramake)
The fact that Israel occupied the Suez so fast puts the 6 day war into perspective. It wasn't as stunning as it seems when you consider the egyptians had already been beaten back before.
Almost all wars that israel was included in were offensive wars disguised as pre emptive strikes
Based US and USSR 🇺🇸🇷🇺💪
I think France lost
Denmark and Colombia
Funny how Israel left Gaza before Sinai, was Gaza actually under Egyptian control when Sinai wasn't?
Egypt didn't nationalize from the UK it nationalized it from France who built the suez canal
For the record, the reasons the US came to the defense of Egypt was because
1. They were outraged that UK and France thought they were big dog enough to dictate international matters like that without consulting with the US first
2. They didn't want Egypt and other Middle Eastern countries to run to the waiting arms of the Soviets for protection from the West
* Tel Aviv Impressed *
This was before the US became a client state of Israel.
I wonder why Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip (March 8, 1957) before they withdrew from the Sinai Peninsula (March 19, 1957)
Seen one bot in the reply
This is the real purpose of the state of Israel: a proxy state for imperial powers. At the time it was the UK, today it's the US.
When UK and France were forced to recognize they weren't superpowers anymore
You're the oldest furry i know.
