Hi all, I’m in a position where I’m about to drop some money and would easily hit SUB so I started to look into opening some new cards. Currently I’ve only been running the BoA Customized Rewards for gas (4.5% with platinum status) and 3% on groceries/wholesale clubs.
I wanted to know if Bilt 2.0 was worth it for their partners. After all my research, I think the Citi Strata Premier makes the most sense to be the main card I open. I then want to pair that with either the Double Cash or Custom Cash to allow for 1:1 transfer between points and cash back (assuming I understand this properly, other people on this sub mentioned you can get 1:1 points from Strata instead of 1:.75 if you have one of the other cards) and vice versa. This leaves me with two ideas.
1:
– Strata for 3x on Dining, Flights, Hotels
– Custom Cash for 5% on Groceries
– BoA for 4.5% on Gas and 3% on Wholesale Clubs
– Bilt Blue for 2.33x points on everything else
2:
– Strata for 3x on Dining, Groceries, Flights, Hotels
– BoA for 4.5% on Gas and 3% on Wholesale Clubs
– Double Cash for 2% on everything else
In essence, I want to know if the Bilt Travel Partners (especially after Hyatt nerf) compared to Citi’s are worth it to add it to the setup. Or if I should go for the simpler option 2, racking up cash back and points in the same ecosystem.
