Hello, my husband I need help getting answers. My husband, a Veteran (not Active), and I want to buy a home in FL. But we currently live in VA. He will be the only one on the loan because my credit is bad. Now I got a job in FL and need to move there in the next month or so. But my husband (the Vet) will stay in VA till our apartment lease ends. We want to close before our lease ends in VA so I have a place to stay. The plan is he will move down once our lease in VA is done. But he hasn't secured a job in FL yet.
Our question is can I fulfill the occupancy requirement of it being our primary residence even when he doesn't have a job lined up in FL yet?
