Washington State just passed a bill to tax the super-rich, for the first time ever. The top .5% will have to pay a state income tax, raising up to $4 billion every year. That money will pay for school lunches, expand a tax credit for low-income families, and fund services.

A couple of interesting facts:
There are 13 billionaires living in Washington State.
Wealth reports that the average billionaire owns between 4 and 9 homes globally.
All billionaires (and many many millionaires) can simply declare any of their residences as their primary for taxation purposes.
Only thing worth asking about is if it closes the debt-as-income loophole
They likely spend more money trying to repeal the tax than just paying it. After a while it’s not about money, it’s about influence and control for them.
Haywood is a piece of shit
How long until they escape the state?
