I was in an accident 11 days ago. nohing too bad, but i was not at fault. I have a good amount of paint scrapes and broken plastic on my front headlight, so it will cost a few hundred to fix. Unfortunately I was doing uber and my insurance progressive is not helping me because of it. So i am going to have to contact the at fault drivers insurance. the cop also told me i am not at fault, and gave me his card. It has been 11 days and I havent seen the report online yet. So I am going to call the police station on monday, and hopefully they have it so I can file a claim. I am very nervous as I am being told they will try to get me to say something wrong to avoid paying. I want to know what I am doing, because its pretty messed up if they deny just to avoid paying and then I will have to. If anyone has had to deal with this, what are some things to expect? I would appreciate it a lot.
I have to talk to the at fault drivers insurance. any tips?

Police don’t determine fault in any collision. You should have filed a claim with the at faults insurance the next day at the latest unless you are in Michigan where you have to use yours.
If the other person is insured for liability with sufficient limits it does not matter what your policy says if they are found at fault in most areas.
Tell the truth.
