I’m not, fugg it. Not going to drive like a grandma or walk even if it triples. If it gets even worse my USO calls will be up so much I won’t care.

Losing weight, I figure if I can get down 100 lbs my huge asfuk SUV will take less gas, save me a few bucks.

I drive a PHEV. Only does around 36 miles on the battery when full but I charge it overnight on cheap electric or on solar during the day. Most of my driving is short runs anyway. I use like 11 litres a week if I’m careful.

Grocery store discount up to $1 off per tank, but that’s usually only one tank per month, so aside from that I’m using the Gas Buddy app to find better prices. It’s rough regardless.

I gave up driving 10 years ago after moving to a place with decent mass transit.
$600/yr max out of pocket for unlimited rides.
Lots of public transit funding is sourced from fuel taxes at various levels. So it will take a little bit longer to impact my transit expenses via fare increases.
I know that not everyone can give up driving, but I’m very happy to have extra shielding from the impact of the new price of oil.
Edit* forgot to specify fuel taxes help public transit funding.

I have a Honda CR-Z EX. It’s a hybrid that’s super fun to drive that gets 40 mpg city.

Drive the more fuel efficient vehicle. Not as fun as the other but, it’s worth it.

I just stopped buying gas. The EV lifestyle has been amazing for the past 3 years and 91k miles.
