I do wonder when NVIDIA and others will realize that if they want some more growth in an appreciable timeline, they’ll need to work on the power requirements a bit more. While I totally understand that this level of performance and compute requires an insane amount of power, it just feels like they’re saying “gimme more” instead of trying ANY attempt at efficiency. I hope I’m wrong though.
While it’ll be nice to drive efficiency across the board since it’s required for these power-hungry beasts, the compute itself needs to start improving their own efficiency rather than “moAr COReS”
