Looks like the AI infrastructure stocks are taking a bigger hit today, anyone know what’s up? I haven’t jumped into this sector too much yet and wondering if now is a decent time to jump in or if there is something big going on that missed. I’ve considered diversifying into a few of them with all the AI spend going on.

AIs biggest hurdle is energy. Energy is literally the central crisis at the moment.

speaking to AI directly, it was in a circular financing agreement from the gulf states. They sell their cheap energy to support a low cost ai buildout and operation, then take the money they get for their energy and re-invest it back into the ai bubble. now they make no money, and cant export cheap energy.

      so to put it plainly.

no more cheap subsidized energy, and no more money propping up ai stocks/infastructure.

    3. Oops, one of ai bubble neck popped up? Lol.
      1. Nbis – former russian roots or not former ? No im sorry.
      2. Apld. Qs why NVDA pulled off their investment? So must be useless as f..k

Also, OpenAI isn’t fulfilling the obligations they made to buy massive amounts of RAM, google compression tech is getting noticed again, and the energy market, which effects AI data center prices heavily, is skyrocketing and not stopping it seems anytime soon. Also, not one company has shown a long term profitable business plan, which is more worrisome with higher energy prices (It will even be harder to reach a profit in an already capital/investment draining sector).

Can’t monetize most AI investments right now. With energy surging higher it makes the operating costs push most AI companies into a operating cash squeeze.

Good luck being an AI company in current market environment trying to get extended credit to continue operations.

maybe this: google released TurboQuant that reduces AI memory cache requirements by 6x with no loss in accuracy
