Hello! I applied for TPD forgiveness. I uploaded my SSDI letter that shows the date of disability. This was done on Feb 23rd, 2026. On the Student Aid portal it shows it is in progress. However there is another application that states discharge is being processed. This is not anything I did on my end. Does this mean it’s been approved? TIA!

Your application is under review and the second image you provided says you can expect a response in as many as 45 days. It has not been 45 days and so you might have to wait a little bit longer.

Question what SSDI letter did you upload? I’m in the process of doing this for my parents and I’m trying to make sure I have everything. Thank you in advance.
Did you just recently qualify for SSDi? I have seen posts of people having their cases declined and a second case being opened and approve when Federal aid was alerted by the social security office due to the declaration of disability.
