As the title says, how often do you replace your razor? I used to be able to get refills very cheaply from Walgreens and CVS Sunday ads. Things changed and coupons and deal changed and I haven’t been able to get refills for a price I feel comfortable with for a long time. I tried an Amazon razor that came with 16 refills for pretty cheap, but I’m not happy with the results. I loved my Schick Quattro but what do you use and please don’t tell me the one blade disposables, because those don’t work.

I use an electric razor, I have issues with razor burn and sensitive skin though so a smooth feel isn’t something I’m after
I’ve had a mache 3 for 15-hrs. Same razor blade and all. It’s crazy!
Look into the Leaf razor. They’re designed for body shaving in addition to face and head. I used mine on everything and don’t have any issues with it. It’s a pricey start, around $80 I think, but a $10 pack of blades will last you years.
Not a lady, and maybe this is gross, but I bought a $2 10-pack of the shittiest disposable razors 3 years ago and I still have 2 left…
I have to add that I use separate ones for my face and my nethers, I only use each once weekly, and I clean them with alcohol. It started as an experiment to see how long I could make bottom-of-the-barrell razors last.
Honestly? Gillette 5 refills – I buy a subscribe and save annual supply on the ‘zon and it lasts me (lady) and my spouse fella) plus teen (young lady) about a year.
I like that they have a precision blade on the back that works perfectly as a facial hair razor instead of buying those separately. I don’t shave constantly (sometimes I swap to epilator or creams, in winter I don’t bother), my daughter doesn’t shave her legs at all, and my husband doesn’t have to shave his face daily just uses it as clean up so we’re an anomaly – if you shave legs every day or close to it you’d probably want to switch to something like an epilator. Quite frankly I have a friend who crunched the numbers and got laser hair removal as long term it was cheaper than what she was doing.
But it’s sub $2.50 per replacement and they last me 3-5 “full shaves” per blade, so maybe 60 cents per shave?
