Earned some money that I don’t need to use right now. Advice?

Hello everyone.

I recently did a job that earned me ~USD1500. I'm a student and am lucky enough that my parents support me with the food and accomodation, so I'm thinling I should invest this money in some way, instead of having it sitting there. What are some secure ways to do it, for someone who doesn't have experience investing, that you could recomend?
