I recently read a claim saying mass immigration to Argentina might have worked to suppress wages and keep the country unproductive.
This made me think. *Most* developed countries discourage unskilled immigration, instead relying on temporary guest workers or seasonal workers. While this is quite often criticized as inhumane, is this the right thing to do from an economic perspective?
Is there such a thing as "good" and "bad" immigration, in economic terms?
