Qubic has been running a 'not a joke' campaign pointing toward an April 1 DOGE mining launch. I've been publicly questioning their claims so I want to be equally public about how I'm going to evaluate whether what launches tomorrow is real.
My verification checklist
- The live dashboard they're promising is it pulling real DOGE network data or is it a synthetic display? I'll cross reference against the DOGE network hashrate from independent sources.
- The DOGE network total hashrate is approximately 2.4–2.75 PH/s. Any meaningful contribution from Qubic should be visible as a hashrate increase on the network
- Their claim to run DOGE ASICs and Monero CPUs/GPUs simultaneously. if both workloads are live both should show up in the respective network data
- The 51% Monero hashrate claim from before. I'll compare the claimed DOGE contribution to what I saw in the Monero data to see if it is consistent
I'll post my findings here after launch. If the hashrate shows up in the network data the way they're claiming I will post an update. April Fool's Day was maybe chosen deliberately. The receipts either exist tomorrow morning or they don't.
Qubic is launching DOGE mining tomorrow. Will the hashrate claims be true?
