What do you all make of the Iranian President being open to end the war. Have we hit the bottom for equities or more pain to come? What do you make of today’s rally
Oil infra has been damaged but I’m assuming all that is priced in. What can cause further pain from here? And if the ear ends without the strait being opened, do you think US equities keep going up?

Who knows? If I did, I’d be rich as hell.
Anyways, I’ve got 25 years left to retire, so the best thing I could do was continue my regular investing into my indexes and also go to town on some single companies like META, MSFT and HOOD.
No one knows. And if someone tells you they do, don’t believe them
There’s not one person is this sub – or any sub – that can tell you if we’re hit bottom or not. The other 4,000 posts asking the same thing should have tipped you off.
Iran has always been open to ending the war. They even provided 5 points to make the war end. The problem is that the US will not agree to these terms. I don’t think Iran is worried about the loss of life at this point, it’s about control and sovereignty. It’s hard to even say if the Iranian president even has control or if they could actually stop the attacks in the strait of hormuz, or surrounding area.
Even if the war ended today, it’ll still have lasting impacts on the global economy.
He is known to be in the “peace camp”. But does he fully control the Revolutionary Guards? The key question is who’s really in charge in Iran.
Even if the war stops now, there is physical disruption to the oil infrastructure that is going to be economically painful.
Idk, he might just be testing to see how much sway he has over the US markets.
