Not much else to say. I contacted Aidvantage and they said that is the lowest amount I can get. Something must be wrong with how I filled out the form or it's the state of things. But I do not have 244.00 for April 25th so I guess I will be in the default club.

I am sick to my stomach and feel like giving up on life. I am 60 years old. I can't move in with my parents. I teach preschool. The lowest paid of teachers. I am so beyond ok.

    From 0.00 a month to 244.00 with a 25.00 a month income change. I will be homeless.

    1. If you don’t have the money, request a deferment due to hardship and you will not pay anything for a period of time.

    2. RAP removes the COL allowance provided by all previous IBR/ICR plans, so the difference in monthy payments can be significant. I think defaults will reach the highest levels ever once standard/RAP become the only payment plan options for everyone.

Post your income, balance, filing status and year your loans were first taken and people will be able to double check for you.

    4. I am already in a forbearance from last year due to my reapplication going in the same time the gov shut things down. I am not sure if I am eligible for another forbearance but I am calling after school for a deferment because there is no money to pay this, it does not exist. My rent and other bills and I live CHEAP, leave me with 100.00 for food and gas a week. The 244.00 would be coming out of my food money. Am I not supposed to eat now?

    5. I make 37,500.00 a year. 2 person household. I support one dependent. My loans are 152,000. My loans were taken out between 2009-2014 and include a parent plus loan that’s been consolidated with the others. My previous IDR plan last year was 0.00
