Long story short, I broke my iPhone Air and the repair cost was over £400. Made a claim through my Lloyds insurance but it was rejected because technically the phone is in my partners name, we have our phones and my sons phone all on one account. I showed them the direct debits for the airtime and contract coming out of my account but they wouldn’t budge.

My partner also has phone cover through her insurance, is there anything stopping her from claiming for it if I have already made a claim that was rejected because I don’t own the phone?

So you don’t own a phone to insure. The denial is appropriate. Your partner has insurance on the phone and is the owner of the phone. Your partners insurance needs to be used.
