Oil prices surge after Trump’s White House primetime address on Iran
Oil has risen 7% overnight to $108 a barrel after President Trump’s White House address failed to provide a clear commitment to ending the Iran war.
Markets had hoped for an off-ramp from the conflict, but the speech has unwound half of this week’s gains. UK borrowing costs remain elevated at 4.3%, up from 3.5% before the war began.

With most of the 🇬🇧 oil coming from Norway and the usa 🇺🇸 and barley anything from the middle east, our oil prices shouldn't be affected because our supply isnt affected really, remeber they all want you to switch to electric for thier green agenda, on top of that we have a 5 year oil reserve which we could release a years worth if needed, the uk isnt struggling for oil has they making it out, govemenrt take around 53% of the sale of petrol and diesel, so with a crisis which they have made up they can justify a price hike and grab has much money has possible, when are we going to learn that every time they hike the price of anything stop using it until they lower it back down, dont use your viechle unless you really have to or you need to use a viechle , they will keep doing this if noone takes any action agaisnt it, protesting won't work
