hi, so i got a mastercard gift card in february and i havent used it til today and every time i try to check my balance, redeem it, attempt to buy anything, it just gives me an error (err-8000 if thats important idk) its really annoying. it worked temporarily for like 1 minute, and then stopped working again. i dont know if it has to do with anything in particular but id really like my money's worth
i usually use visa but ive been looking into communities online so im never getting a mastercard gift card again this sucks. also, ive tried clearing my cache, using another browser, NOT using a vpn, and calling the number on the back of the card (did nothing, didnt help at all) and nothing is working. please let me know what i can do to fix the issue. thanks

err-8000 sounds like their system is just being rubbish, had similar issues with gift cards before and sometimes they just randomly start working again after a few days
if calling the number didn’t help i’d try going to wherever you bought it from with your reciept, they might be able to sort it or replace it since it’s clearly faulty
