      France just blocked a UN vote,and they got a single ship through? Thats like a confiscatory level tariff, effectively

    3. I would assume that letting individual ships pass is a sign of Iranian good will. To have more ships pass Tehran will presumably want to see some concrete action putting pressure on the US, such as further denial of passage and air base use.

    4. Even if some ships are leaving,  how many are stuck there, and how many are entering the straight to fill up with oil right now?

      A sign of Iranian good-will (and no doubt it has been considered in Tehran) would be to let ALL ships pass on condition that the Epstein files be published complete and unredacted, for all to see on the net.
